Thousands of new chemical compounds have been created as a result of technological and scientific developments, many of which have the potential to be harmful to human health. Toxicology, a field that transitioned from an empirical to a volumetric science with the invention of chemistry in the nineteenth century, aims to understand the impacts of chemical compounds on the world around us, including the environment, the human body, and beyond. The study of the effects of chemical, biological, and physical agents on humans is known as human toxicology. In this field, scientists and researchers monitor and analyse substances, particles, pollutants, and bacteria to assess the possible threats they pose to humans. Toxicologists are entrusted by public health practitioners with measuring what we can't see and informing us of hidden dangers that pose major threats to our health and well-being. Toxicology plays an important role in establishing which materials, substances, and ingredients can and cannot be utilised in a range of industries, including medicine, construction, and air and water quality regulation. Toxicologists can evaluate the right dosage and acceptable exposure limits for any questionable compounds that come into contact with living things.
