Toxicology has traditionally utilized various scientific disciplines to find both the underlying mechanisms of physical, chemical, and biological substances that could have any detrimental effect on a target organism or ecosystem, whether acutely or chronically. Multiple toxicity end points have been utilised, including molecular, biochemical, cellular, physiological, whole-organism or ecosystem diseases, morbidity, mortality, and so on. Toxicology is a science with a basic science or academic component as well as a real-world practical application in understanding and preventing life-threatening situations. The study of chemical properties and how they influence the body is known as toxicology. It is concerned with the harmful effects of chemicals on living creatures that come into contact with them. The detection, symptoms, aetiology, mechanism, and treatment of these compounds are all covered by toxicology. The application of current technologies in the early detection of toxicants is referred to as applied toxicology. Nowadays, it is obvious that the study of applied toxicology in all of its forms—occupational, therapeutic, nutritional, forensic, veterinary, environmental, and related fields—is critical for the survival of life on Earth.
